Yesterday, a couple of my Twitter friends were posting their “Movie Alphabets.” The idea, I guess, is to list either your best or your favorite movie whose title begins with each of the 26 letters. I wasn’t sure if I could make such a list, but I started to mull it over in my mind. It turned out to be fun, so I completed my own Movie Alphabet. Is this list in any way definitive? Of course not. I could have picked several worthy movies for many of the letters; these were just the ones that came most instantly to mind. My personal goal was simply to see if I could come up with 26 great (and diverse) movies to recommend to anyone interested in learning about a few of my favorites. I love all these films deeply.
